Overview
Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (RTTE) which is to be used in Sri Lanka should comply with a set of national and international regulatory standards and requirements for compatibility and safety. Type Approval ensures that the RTTE conforms to appropriate national and international standards and type-approved RTTE would not cause interference to other communication systems or pose health and safety hazards to consumers. It applies to all types of RTTE intended to be imported, marketed, manufactured or used in Sri Lanka.
